Excellus BCBS earns accreditation from NCQA

Excellus BlueCross BlueShield once again earned accreditation across all of its health insurance products from the National Committee for Quality Assurance for 2024, earning four out of five stars. NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. Accreditation includes Excellus BCBS’ Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial health insurance plans. 

“Accreditation is a source of pride for our employees who work every day to help people in our communities live healthier and more secure lives through access to high quality, affordable health care,” says Excellus BCBS President and CEO Jim Reed. 

Plans are also evaluated on quality of care, patient satisfaction, and the health plans' efforts toward continuous improvement.
