Excellus BlueCross BlueShield Announces $10,000 Grants for Local Community Organizations Through Federal Home Loan Bank of New York Program

Excellus BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS) is pleased to announce that several local community-based organizations will each receive a $10,000 grant through the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York’s Small Business Recovery Grant Program.

As a nonprofit health plan deeply rooted in the communities it serves, Excellus BCBS is committed to giving back, supporting local organizations, and investing in the places where its employees and members live and work. Through its partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, Excellus BCBS had the opportunity to nominate organizations making a meaningful impact across the region. The selected organizations serve communities across Upstate New York, including Johnson City, Utica, and Syracuse.

“At Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, we believe strong communities are built through meaningful partnerships and sustained investment,” said Excellus BCBS President and CEO Jim Reed. “At a time when many communities are facing rising housing costs and increased demand for social services, these grants help strengthen critical local support systems. These organizations are doing critical work to uplift individuals and families, and we’re proud to support their efforts to create opportunity, improve well-being, and build a healthier future for all.”
